Worthing is a sunny and friendly town by the sea on the south coast of England. It’s the largest town in West Sussex with a population of 103,000. It is ideally situated for the beach and the beautiful countryside of the South Down Hills. The South Down Hills are an outstanding area of natural beauty and there are very good opportunities for horse riding in the local area.
Sports The Worthing Sports Centre is next to the college and offers opportunities for badminton, squash, aerobics, basketball and many other sports. There is a large swimming pool and a bowling alley in Worthing centre
Shopping and Restaurants Worthing has one of the best shopping centres in West Sussex and good entertainment facilities including two cinemas, three theatres and many restaurants, café’s, bars and nightclubs. Restaurants serve food from countries far and wide including Thailand, Nepal, China, India, Spain and America. You can of course also eat traditional British Fish and Chips!!
Travel links London is one-and-a-half hours away by train; the regular service offers two trains per hour. There is a direct train to Gatwick Airport, which takes just 45 minutes.
The City of Brighton & Hove with many attractions for international students is only 20 minutes from Worthing by train.
